Chris was born and bred in Yorkshire and began working in a butchers at the age of 9, starting a lifelong love of meat. His commitment to the pork industry started in 1998, when he joined Cranswick PLC and he became Chief Operating Officer in 2015. His role is all about managing the operation of the business from farm to fork and he is a familiar face within the industry. He is currently Chair of the Butchers’ and Drovers’ Charitable Institution (BDCI) and also a Fellow of the Institute of Meat.

Iain graduated from London University, Wye College with a degree in Horticulture and Business Management. He then had a career in retail working for Sainsbury’s, Homebase and the garden centre sector, most recently as managing director of Grosvenor Garden Centre. He served on national committees including the Horticultural Trades Association Council and, more recently, the Garden Industry Marketing Board.

Mark is Pig Supply Chain Director of Tulip Ltd where he leads a team that works closely with all elements of the British pigmeat supply chain including farmers, hauliers, abattoirs, customers and external bodies such as the Food Standards Agency.
He has worked in the UK pig processing sector since 1998 when he started at the Geo Adams & Sons Ltd abattoir in Spalding initially as a livestock buyer before the company was bought out by Tulip.
Since 2010, Mark has also sat on the Red Tractor Pig Sector board helping to represent the interests of the UK processor and producer in the ever-changing world of legislative and consumer requirements.

Mike Sheldon worked with PIC before setting up Greenway Farms, a 1,200 sow unit producing parent boars and grandparent gilts, which he sold in 2014. He is a former member of the BPEX board and the founding Chief Executive of the NPA.
Since 2012, Mike has been the chairman of the Pig Sector Board of Red Tractor Assurance and also chairs the Red Tractor Marketing Committee.

Nick is the Group Agriculture Manager for Karro Food Group, his responsibility is to deliver the strategic account direction for major retail, B2B customers be that in the UK or globally.
His 24-year career in farming and food has lead him across the globe, working for a major beef/lamb and pork processor and retailer, blue chip food company covering aspects of agriculture such as compliance, health and welfare, KT/KE programme development and environmental footprints, while ensuring commercial, value gains are understood and deliverable across the chain.
Nick also sits on the Red tractor TAC for pork where he represents the views of processors and producers.

Rick Buckle returned to the family farm in 1992 after completing an NDA at Bishop Burton College of Agriculture. The family partnership owns, rents, and contract farms more than 5,000 acres of arable land in East Yorkshire. He runs the pig enterprise on the farm which consists of a 1050 sow farrow to finish indoor unit.

They have developed Swannington Farm to Fork, a wholesale and retail butchery business, with two shops and 200 wholesale customers in Norfolk and North Suffolk.

After leaving school Robert served as an officer in the Light Infantry. He studied agriculture at The Royal Agricultural College before coming home to a mixed farm on the Hampshire/Dorset border.
The farm runs 600 hectares of arable, a 300-cow suckler herd (selling progeny finished) and 2,000 outdoor sows (selling half the progeny finished). Robert has served on various boards over the years and is involved in running the IAM Leadership Development Course.
