New AHDB Pork strategy: Going for Growth
Prices have been a key issue for many years but the industry now seems to be stabilising and there are even some signs of expansion. This means the structure of the industry has changed so AHDB Pork had to change to meet the new challenges. In turn a strategy was developed called Going For Growth and launched by AHDB Pork Director Mick Sloyan.
The key is the five point plan:
- Close the gap between us and our main competitors
- Protect the environment
- Enhance pig welfare
- Encourage safe and traceable pork
- Help to sell more pork

Welcome to the AHDB Pork website and logo launched on 10 June. Our new brand reflects AHDB’s aim of looking, feeling and behaving as one organisation, delivering better value for our levy payers across all sectors.
Please note that material posted on this site after 10 June 2015 will be branded as AHDB Pork. Existing digital material will continue to remain available under the BPEX brand.
