How to report a case of Swine Dysentery to AHDB
Once confirmed by a positive PCR result, your vet should report a case of Swine Dysentery to us. This can be done in one of two ways:
- Logging into Pig Hub and completing the vet survey. Instructions on how to do this can be found here
- Via email to Pig.Health@ahdb.org.uk providing the following details:
- Name of unit
- Herd mark
- Type of unit
- Confirmation of positive PCR
- Planned actions for control e.g.: medication, depopulation, etc.
- Confirmation that the producer agrees to the information being shared
- Vet name and contact telephone number
